How to Play
This is a standard hangman game. The goal is to guess the hidden word or phrase by selecting the selecting letters either by clicking the letter buttons on the screen or by using the keyboard. With each incorrect answer, an additional body part appears in the noose. When the whole body has appeared (after six incorrect guesses), the game is over. If you guess a word correctly, you move on to the next word. Good luck!
History
Skeleton Hangman is based on the original Halloween Hangman that was built back in 2004 by The Dimension’s Edge, Inc. In the year it was created, the company emailed a few friends and clients just as a little show piece of what the company could do and the game received around 300 hits that Halloween season. The next year, when October rolled around, the hosting server went down. After it was restarted, it went down again within 30 minutes. It turned out the game was receiving so much traffic the server was unable to handle it. Over the years, several versions of the game were created to feature other holidays besides Halloween. The game enjoyed wild success, receiving over 50 million hits.
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. The original Halloween Hangman was created using Adobe Flash and therefore required users to have the Flash plugin installed to play. Adobe decided to stop supporting the Flash plugin which meant none of the games created by The Dimension's Edge, Inc. would be playable anymore. The company closed its doors and the developers moved on to other things.
Years later, after receiving so many kind emails, phone calls, and comments on social media, the original developers of Halloween Hangman decided it was time to rebuild the game. The technology back in 2004 made it difficult to create a game like this without using Adobe Flash, but things have changed. We were able to rebuild the game without the need for plugins.
